The ASEAN-China Young Leaders’ Scholarship (ACYLS) is an initiative announced by the Chinese Premier at the 21st ASEAN-China Summit. It aims to provide scholarships for ASEAN Member States (AMS) young nationals to study in China, increase people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding between China and ASEAN. Since its launch in 2019, the ACYLS program has benefited more than 300 recipients to pursue master’s or doctoral degrees or short-term research in Chinese universities. The ACYLS program served as a new bridge to enhance the friendship between young nationals, and a new channel to promote cooperation in various fields, injecting new impetus into building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

We are pleased to announce that 2026 ACYLS programme is now open for application. It includes awards for : (i) doctoral programme, (ii) master’s programme and (iii) one-semester (4-5 months)  research scholar programme.
